Tessie’s Chili | Paleo

On cold nights, a warm bowl of chili just hits the spot. This recipe can be left to simmer in your crock pot for awhile so it’s great for a busy night when there are mulitple activities. The flexibility with meats makes this the perfect recipe that you can alter to fit your family’s preferences.

No, I didn’t forget the beans, we don’t use beans there is so much meat you don’t need them. This is a made up recipe especially for my 15 year old son, he loves lots of meat in his chili and no beans since we wanted it to be Paleo approved.  Add as much meat as you want and as many types as you want, I use what I have sometimes ground turkey, sometimes venison.

Tessie’s Chili


  1. Brown the meat, then move it to the crockpot
  2. Use the same pan for the onion and cook until translucent, then add celery for about 2 min
  3. Add garlic and cook until aromatic about 1 minute
  4. Spoon out and add to crockpot
  5. Add all the other ingredients and cook for a bit.
  6. Add seasonings to taste
